You Can Help

Although The Dercum Society does not accept monetary donations, there are still many ways in which you can help and we sincerely thank you for your interest and generosity. Most importantly, if you believe you may be suffering from Dercum's Disease, the best thing you can do is make an appointment to visit with your doctor and help to educate them on the disease.

If you are with the media, anything you could to help educate the public about this disease and promote further education and evaluation, your help would be greatly appreciated. You can contact the Media Relations director with The Dercum Society for additional information and materials. We would be happy to assist you in any way that we can. Simply email us at Media @ DercumSociety.com for more information.

The Dercum Society would like to promote and encourage further study of Dercum's Disease. Although we do not perform studies ourselves, we would be happy to organize meetings between those individuals who might be interested in investing in a medical study with doctors and universities who are in desperate need of funding to research this disease. If you feel you can help in any way with this endeavor, we encourage you to contact us at Research @ DercumSociety.com.

We welcome any additional ideas or suggestions on other ways the public can help. To do so, please contact us at Editor @ DercumSociety.com.

Note: If you use these email addresses to contact us, please be sure to remove the spaces around the @ symbol. Thank you for your cooperation - this saves us from being buried in spam and helps us to get to your message faster.
